DAİB Conducted Overseas Marketing Activity in Baku
Under the Coordination of the Ministry of Trade and organized by DAİB, an overseas marketing activity was conducted to Baku/Azerbaijan between 27-30 June 2022 within the framework of the UR-GE project titled "Development of Building Chemicals and Insulation Materials Export Capacity".
An "Overseas Marketing Activity" indexed to B2B, company and market visits was attended by 18 representatives from manufacturing exporting companies operating in the building chemicals and insulation materials sector from various provinces of Turkey.
The delegation first held a meeting with Baku Trade Counsellor Yakup Sefer and Baku Trade Counsellor Ahmet Erdal, where issues encountered in exports to Azerbaijan-Nakhchivan were raised by companies participating in the delegation.
Through the delegation program, companies visited the construction market and OMID Holding, one of the largest importers in Azerbaijan's construction sector, as well as Okuklu Holding. Companies individually visited building markets regarding their products, gathering information about the status, prices and equivalents of their products in the Azerbaijan market.
Our companies participating in the delegation also had the opportunity to introduce their companies in detail, resulting in a highly productive meeting.
Bilateral business meetings were organized with potential buyers in Baku, and intensive interest from Baku-based buyers was observed at these meetings.
Following the bilateral business meetings, the delegation visited SARA-ECE Logistics, a company providing logistics services from Turkey to Azerbaijan and other Turkic republics, where delegation participant companies also had the opportunity to conduct face-to-face meetings with direct buyers.

"Through the activities carried out during the Overseas Marketing Activity program organized in Azerbaijan/Baku with our 'Building Chemicals and Insulation Materials' project under the Coordination of the Ministry of Trade Export General Directorate and our Association's organization, we have aimed to increase export volumes of exporters, provide our companies that have not exported yet with the opportunity to conduct commercial negotiations with foreign buyers, observe the status of their products in foreign markets, get to know competitors in the same sector and gain export experience, as well as contribute to the development and growth of bilateral trade relations between our countries and foreign trade in general. Evaluating the services provided to our companies within the context of our URGE project, which was launched to initiate an export mobilization drive and was prepared with a clustering focus, all stages that our companies need to go through to reach exports have been experienced in accordance with the determined targets," he stated.Advertisement
