CUBO Starts Generating Its Own Energy

CUBO demonstrated its commitment to sustainability by implementing a Solar Energy System (SES) project at its production facilities. CUBO has begun generating its own energy at its production plant. Global population growth, advancing industrialization, and the increasing prominence of urban living are among the leading factors driving rapid energy consumption. As energy sources on earth begin to deplete, all nations are pursuing various strategies to control their energy needs and use energy efficiently. In our country as well, energy consumption is increasing year by year, particularly in the industrial and residential sectors. Experts indicate that of average energy consumption in our country, 41% is used in residential buildings, 33% in industry, 20% in transportation, 5% in agriculture, and 1% in other areas. Energy conservation in buildings is as important as the conservation activities carried out by all industrial establishments in their production facilities. Acting with this awareness, CUBO installed a Solar Energy System on 3/4 of the roof covering 15,000 m2 of its production base in Antalya.

CUBO Generating Its Own Energy

Just as in commercial and industrial structures, the most effective energy conservation in residential buildings can be achieved through the use of thermal insulation, an easily applicable energy efficiency technology. CUBO, which increases its activities in this area every day, demonstrates its sensitivity to this matter not only through its innovative products but also through energy conservation work developed at its own production facilities. Having implemented the Solar Energy System (SES) project last month, CUBO has begun generating its own energy at its production facilities. The company, whose work to conserve energy sources and promote sustainability is not limited to the SES alone, will produce more energy than it consumes with the SES project. With the SES project it has put into operation, CUBO will achieve a total energy capacity of 880,000 W (880 kWp). The company, which has 1,760 solar panels rated at 500 watts each, will generate all its own energy with this system. Stating that the payback period for the investment is 30 months, CUBO will make available the unused portion of energy generated by its system to the Organized Industrial Zone. Considering Antalya's climate conditions, the SES project ranks among the most sound investments. Through the renewable energy it produces, currently exceeding projections, CUBO will meet its own needs while also providing significant energy savings for the OSB. Operating on the principle of protecting the environment, nature, and natural resources, CUBO develops and manufactures its products with this understanding. CUBO's "CUBOTHERM Thermal Insulation Systems" products, developed to minimize energy loss in buildings, contribute to the economy with savings approaching 50%.
