CORROSION and Bluestream Launch ICCP-SAM

CORROSION and Bluestream launch ICCP-SAM, a subsea installation method specially designed to enable remote installation of ICCP anodes on monopile foundations of any size, in any area of the foundation, and even in the most challenging ocean conditions. ICCP-SAM (Subsea Assembly Method) is extremely compact and can be transported and deployed from the top of the offshore foundation with minimal welding. ICCP-SAM is operated remotely and allows the anode to be maneuvered into a predetermined foundation access hole subsea. The anode is then secured to the foundation using the same equipment. One of its key advantages is that the anode can be replaced in the same way throughout the foundation's service life. ICCP-SAM also eliminates the need for diving operations. This installation method offers unlimited applicability for protecting monopile foundations of any size worldwide, while providing significant time and cost savings. Unlike conventional methods that require larger installation vessels and considerable amounts of secondary steel or a precise CPS structure, this new installation method requires only a few different designs and does not necessitate large supply vessels. Another significant advantage is that every type of monopile can now be protected in an environmentally friendly manner throughout its service life, from installation to decommissioning. In this project, CORROSION and Bluestream worked in close cooperation to reduce costs during installation, operation and maintenance phases.
