CCP Building Products Introduces Carbon-Negative Concrete

Carbon-Negative Concrete from CCP Building Products CCP Building Products, a leading UK-based concrete block manufacturer and supplier attached to the SigmaRoc group, has launched cement-free carbon-negative concrete blocks to market following successful trials with Carbon8's CircaBuild aggregate in partnership with Greenbloc Technology. CircaBuild represents low-carbon and carbon-negative alternatives to raw lightweight aggregates derived from Carbon8's carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS solution. The technology solution enables industrial customers, including cement plants and EfW facilities, to achieve decarbonization by capturing a portion of their CO₂ and combining it with ash and residues generated at their sites. CO₂ is permanently and safely stored in solid mineral form within the new material, contributing to industrial decarbonization and providing an alternative to raw materials in the construction sector.
