Camfil Launches New Corrosion Control Monitor

Camfil, a leading company in clean air solutions, announced the launch of its new corrosion control monitor AirImage-COR. Camfil's AirImage-COR corrosion control monitor enables real-time measurement of corrosive gases in the air, allowing operators to assess the corrosivity level of an environment and identify potential risks to sensitive electronics and valuable assets. With PWA (progressive web application) technology, AirImage-COR facilitates accurate remote monitoring in real time of corrosion, temperature, relative humidity and pressure. AirImage-COR helps prevent costly downtime and unplanned maintenance in critical processes. Trent Thiel, Product Manager for Industrial Molecular Filtration at Camfil North America, said: "Corrosion monitoring requires accuracy and reliability, and AirImage-COR provides both through electrical resistance (ER) sensors. Standards such as ANSI/ISA-71.04-2013 were developed to classify environmental conditions in process measurement and control systems with respect to airborne contaminants to help reduce corrosion risk. AirImage-COR ER sensors have been qualified in a corrosion chamber according to ISA standard by injecting corrosive gases under different environmental conditions, and the most accurate sensors were selected. Sensor selection was based on the evaluation of various sensors with different non-conductive substrates and metal deposition technologies." Source
