Bostik is strengthening its presence in Brazil's rapidly growing construction adhesive market through the planned acquisition of Poliplas, a leader in hybrid technology sealants and adhesives. This project aligns with Arkema's targeted growth strategy in adhesives and fast-growing regions. Bostik, a global leader in innovative adhesive solutions operating under the Fortaleza brand in Brazil, has announced an agreement to acquire Poliplas Ltda. With approximately EUR 10 million in rapidly growing sales in 2020 and a facility in São José do Rio Preto, São Paulo state, Poliplas supplies high-quality sealant and adhesive solutions in various construction technologies to more than 2,000 customers. Bostik holds the position of largest local player in rapidly growing hybrid mastics and adhesives, which feature diverse application properties and represent a core technology for Bostik globally. Poliplas is a significant player in Brazil's adhesive market, with strong presence across different distribution channels targeting construction and industrial markets, complementing Fortaleza's regional offering. Both brands will continue to deliver high-performance solutions to meet customer needs. This acquisition aligns with Bostik's growth strategy in the construction market and strengthens its global leadership in hybrid sealants and adhesives while expanding its presence in high-growth regions.
