Biocoat Acquires Chempilots Biocoat Incorporated, a manufacturer of hydrophilic biomaterial coatings and coating equipment for medical devices, announced the acquisition of Chempilots, a Danish company that provides specialized polymers and manufacturing services to the medical device industry. This acquisition advances Biocoat's biomaterial platform as part of its objective to promote medical innovation by offering a comprehensive portfolio of customized biomaterial solutions. The integration of Chempilots with Biocoat enables Biocoat to make further progress in its leading polymer development initiatives and enter new markets. Chempilots, a pioneer in applied polymer chemistry, supplies specialized polymers to existing customers and focuses specifically on polymerization techniques to enable the development, scale-up and manufacturing of biomaterials such as hydrogels for various medical device applications.
