BASF Shanghai Coatings Opens New Technology Center BASF Shanghai Coatings (BSC) has announced the opening of a new technology center building at its BSC Minhang facility. The expanded Minhang facility will become a production site primarily focused on coatings and surface treatment development, bringing together business development, technical services and sales staff to build the best team for OEM (original equipment manufacturer) customers and support innovative and sustainable development in the automotive coatings industry. The new technical center building, connected to the "color + innovation" studio, will provide customers with comprehensive solutions covering the entire process from color design, styling, color matching, product development to launch. The center is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory facilities as well as a team of highly qualified and experienced personnel. The e-coat application technology center was newly constructed to develop technical competence and application engineering. The e-coat application laboratory and pilot facility support customers through bath and engineering simulation in parameter adjustment, process and engineering optimization, while also providing product approval, quality management and process compliance testing.
