Axalta Opens Ultramodern Automotive Refinish Paint Facility To further strengthen its automotive refinish paint business in the Netherlands, Axalta held the official opening of its new, state-of-the-art and sustainable facility in the country. Members of Axalta's Leadership Team in Europe, the Management Team in the Netherlands, Axalta Automotive Refinish Paint employees, as well as key customers and partners attended the opening ceremony, followed by a reception in compliance with local pandemic guidelines. The ultramodern 7,250 m² facility located in Tiel, in a strategic position, enables Axalta to reach more customers with its automotive refinish paint and non-paint products and services. Axalta's global automotive refinish paint brands in the Netherlands – Cromax®, Spies Hecker, Standox and SyroxTM – moved to the new facility in May 2021. The new Netherlands Axalta Automotive Refinish Paint Academy housed at the facility features an innovative workshop environment to train the automotive refinish painters of the future to deliver the highest quality paint repairs. Equipped with the latest technology, the facility offers advanced techniques such as next-generation drying equipment, including infrared drying rail systems. It also features the Daisy Wheel 3.0, which for the first time enables fully end-to-end automatic color mixing and works seamlessly with Axalta's Digital Color Management. For customers requiring large quantities of topcoat, a separate mixing room as part of Axalta's direct distribution point is equipped with an ultramodern dual paint mixer to make the process fast and easy. The new facility also includes expanded office space spanning three floors, first-class service delivery and a large automated warehouse for local color development.
