AkzoNobel's İzmir Production Facility Receives Major Certification in Automotive Coatings

AkzoNobel has obtained IATF 16949:2016 certification from TUV NORD. This certification is extremely important for companies operating in the automotive sector. The certification once again demonstrates the high quality of AkzoNobel automotive paints, which are preferred by high-profile brands such as BMW, Daimler, Porsche, VW, Audi, Ford, Fiat, Renault, and Hyundai. In September 2020, AkzoNobel's powder coatings facility in Izmir successfully obtained IATF 16949:2016 certification, which documents the high quality of products, a continuous control and improvement culture, as well as compliance with safety and processes. The production facility and headquarters of AkzoNobel Boya Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. were established in Izmir in 1999. This facility is one of the largest AkzoNobel powder coatings production plants. High-quality powder coatings are supplied from this facility across 9 main segments, including Home Appliances, Architectural, Agricultural & Construction Equipment (ACE), Functional (Pipe Coatings and Electrical Insulation), Furniture, General Industry, Contract Coating, Information Technology, and Automotive. IATF 16949:2016 certification plays a key role for companies operating in the automotive market, such as automobile manufacturers and automotive suppliers.
