AkzoNobel Launches New Low-Energy Powder Coating
AkzoNobel launches new architectural powder coating that cures at temperatures as low as 150°C and holds Qualicoat Class 1 certification.
Interpon D1036 Low-E cures at temperatures 30°C lower than conventional powder coatings, helping customers reduce energy consumption by up to 20%. Additionally, it cures up to 25% faster than conventional powder coatings, enabling more products to be coated in shorter timeframes.
The product's sustainability credentials are supported by an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), which provides an independently verified assessment of a product's environmental impact throughout its entire lifecycle.

The new product range is suitable for many interior and exterior areas of structures, from building facades and windows to railings and doors, or any application where an architecturally certified product is applied. Its key characteristics include superior durability levels to maintain colour integrity and performance.

In addition to committing to producing 50% less carbon emissions across the value chain by 2030, AkzoNobel aims to achieve 100% circular use of materials by the end of the decade and derive 50% of revenues from sustainable solutions.
