Akkim Named Turkey's Top Exporter of Construction Chemicals, Adhesives and Glue Products
Akkim Yapı Kimyasalları, exporting to 112 countries, takes first place in Turkey for adhesive and sealant product exports in 2017, third place in paints and varnishes category
Akkim Yapı Kimyasalları strengthened its claim to be "the global force of growing Turkey" with these two significant export awards. According to Turkish Exporters Council data, Akkim Yapı Kimyasalları ranked first in Turkey for 2017 exports in the adhesives, sealants and enzymes category. At the "Stars of Exports" awards ceremony held on Tuesday, 3 April 2018 by İKMİB (Istanbul Chemical Materials Exporters Association), the first-place award was presented to Akkim Yapı Kimyasalları Board Chairman Hazreti Akdemir by Deputy Minister of Economy Fatih Metin and Turkish Exporters Council Chairman Mehmet Büyükekşi. Hazreti Akdemir, Board Chairman of Akkim, stated that with the vision of being "the global force of growing Turkey," they have achieved exports to 112 countries across five continents, expressing great pride in contributing to the country's economy and the image of Turkish goods. Emphasizing that Akkim Yapı Kimyasalları is a large family, Hazreti Akdemir said: "In achieving this success, our employees, customers, dealers and distributors, suppliers and other group companies have made very significant contributions and provided important support. This award is simply the result of their determination and success. Stating that they increase exports every year and make significant investments to reach more countries, Hazreti Akdemir continued: "At the end of 2017, we established our R&D Center and took important steps in developing innovative products and technologies. In our sector, we were the first company to receive an R&D Center certificate from the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology. We declared 2018 as the year of Innovation and Breakthrough, focusing on speed, technology, innovation, efficiency and added value in all our business processes. We initiated our Industry 4.0 work to make our entire production and management system more integrated." Underlining that Akkim Yapı Kimyasalları is a company with 100 percent domestic capital and that all its investments are realized with its own resources, Hazreti Akdemir said: "With the vision of being a global Turkish company and brand, we will continue to create competitive new opportunities and meaningful experiences for all our economic and social stakeholders."
