Akkim Yapı Kimyasalları Wins Two Export Awards

Akkim Yapı Kimyasalları has become Turkey's 2020 export champion in the 'Paints, Varnishes and Inks' category. In the Adhesives and Sealants product category, it ranked as the second-largest exporter. Akkim Yapı Kimyasalları received two major awards in two separate categories at the 2020 Stars of Exports Awards presented by the Istanbul Chemical Substances and Products Exporters Association (İKMİB). The company won the export championship in the Paints, Varnishes and Inks product category and ranked as the second-largest exporter in the Adhesives and Sealants product category. In the chemical sector, which holds a significant share of Turkey's total exports, companies that achieved the highest sales figures in 2020 were recognised with awards. Hazreti Akdemir, Chairman of the Board of Akkim Yapı Kimyasalları, received the awards on behalf of the company. Noting that all national economies went through a difficult period in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Hazreti Akdemir stated in his remarks: "We continued to work and produce under the challenging pandemic conditions. Thanks to the rapid measures we took against the outbreak and the flexible business models we created, we maintained uninterrupted production. We strived to meet the needs of all our global and local customers. We did not leave our consumers, who trust our brands and products, without support. As a result, we achieved significant export figures in 2020." Highlighting that Akkim Yapı Kimyasalları is one of Turkey's global brands in the construction chemicals sector, Hazreti Akdemir noted that they export to over 100 countries across five continents. He added: "In achieving this success, we are deeply grateful to our employees who are focused on doing their best, our customers who have always placed their trust in us, our dealers and distributors, and our suppliers. With this strength, we believe we will achieve even greater success in the future."
