Akcoat to Invest $18 Million
Akcoat to build factory in Izmir with USD 18 million investment budget. The new factory will produce ceramic and composite frit as well as granilla. Çağrı Büyükdüvenci, Technology and Production Director of Akcoat, stated that the factory, which is targeted to start production in 2023, will have advanced technological applications and will contribute to reducing import dependency.
Chemical coating materials manufacturer Akcoat started 2022 with a new investment move. The company, which produces in 5 main groups including enamel, ceramic, non-stick and decorative coatings as well as pigment and glass coatings, is planning to put a new factory into operation in Izmir. The new facility, planned with an investment budget of USD 18 million, will produce 75,000 tonnes of ceramic frit and 25,000 tonnes of composite frit as well as 1,000 tonnes of granilla annually.
Production to start in 2023
The factory, to be built on a 30-decare area, will feature 5 advanced technological kilns operating with high efficiency and will utilize Industry 4.0 applications. With the factory planned to start production in 2023, Akcoat will have production facilities in Izmir in addition to Sakarya and Valencia, Spain.
