Could you briefly tell our readers about yourself, your educational background and your professional experience?

I was born in 1976 in Istanbul. I am an industrial designer and economist. After holding various positions at my family company, which served the sector as a supplier until 2006, I joined Bilgi Teknik Makine as Manufacturing Manager. Apart from a two-year break from my professional career to pursue music, I have worked in various companies in the sector for 12 years. For the past three years, I have been working with great pleasure in the Evakim A.Ş. family.

Could you provide information about Evakim's establishment process and the stages it has gone through until today? What is Evakim's current structure?

Killing organic solids in painting and other industrial wastewater systems and removing them from the system is one of Evakim's main activities. The chemical products we have developed enable the agglomeration of solids. At the same time, by deactivating organic solids, it also changes their physical movement in the system. Evakim products are suitable for any system where solids need to be killed, captured and removed. Today, Evakim is an engineering company that designs and manufactures automatic and semi-automatic painting facilities, highly differentiated from its counterparts, serving automotive, white goods, plastics, metals and industrial machinery manufacturing sectors, and produces painting booth solutions. From the design and manufacture of industrial painting facilities with high production efficiency to the optimization of existing facilities, we provide optimum solutions to all needs and demands by combining our experience in mechanical and process-auxiliary chemical systems. Wet paint facilities, surface pre-treatment (wiping, flaming, CO2, etc.), paint kitchens, robots and mud collection systems are integrated and designed as turnkey solutions, installed and commissioned. All project management, maintenance and operation documentation is completed with on-site training. Serving sectors requiring high quality standards requires advanced engineering knowledge and experience. Evakim integrates ventilation and air conditioning technologies with paint booth design that provides excellent overspray management, enabling manufacturing with very low waste rates. With engineering, design and manufacturing quality, it provides minimum maintenance requirements and maximum operational efficiency. Evakim has long years of experience in robotic applications. With its experienced team in robotic applications, it integrates painting robots into the painting facilities it has built. It carries out 6-axis painting robot installations, linear & Cartesian painting robot design and manufacturing in-house. In addition to robotic applications, it can perform apparatus & jig design and manufacturing for parts to be painted, paint simulations, programming and commissioning services with an experienced workforce.

Could you provide information about the products, brands and services that Evakim offers for the coatings and surface treatment sectors?

Evakim provides optimum solutions for industrial painting facilities that produce with high efficiency, tailored to needs and demands. From the design and manufacture of wet paint facilities to the optimization of existing facilities; it produces optimum solutions by combining its experience in mechanical and process-auxiliary chemical systems. We can list these as: turnkey design of painting facilities, manufacturing application and consulting services, design and manufacturing of wet and dry filtered paint booths, infrared and convection drying and curing oven solutions, design of paint sludge separation systems, Cartesian & linear robot design and manufacturing, 6-axis painting robot (ABB, FANUC, etc.) integration, design and application of paint kitchens and paint transfer equipment, conveyor systems, jig and apparatus design. The chemical products we have developed enable agglomeration of solids, and by deactivating organic solids, also change their physical movement in the system. Evakim products are suitable for any system where solids need to be killed, captured and removed. Our painting booth wastewater treatment chemicals can be listed as: EVAC – paint killer for paint booths, EVAFLOC – paint floatant for paint booths, EVAF – foam breaker for paint booths, process-auxiliary chemicals, oven and flash-off coating, sticky surface coating, peelable booth coating, alkaline-type paint stripper.

Could you tell us about your domestic and export sales activities? What types of products do you primarily sell to which regions domestically and internationally?

We are able to deliver our services, services and products to industrial plants across the country in all of our areas of activity. The regional and product distribution is largely determined by the sectoral trends of the regions. For this reason, we operate more intensively in the Marmara region with automotive and white goods painting facilities. We are conducting research on exports. We plan to begin export activities if suitable conditions arise.

What kind of work do you carry out in the areas of innovation and R&D as Evakim? Do you have projects developed under university-industry cooperation? If so, what are they?

We believe that Evakim is among the few companies that have a robot-equipped test painting facility for both machine and equipment development and joint R&D work with customers. In particular, we continuously develop our chemical products in accordance with increasing technical expectations and customer demands. Since 2019, we have been continuing our R&D activities on localization of some equipment used in our sector.

Could you provide information about Evakim's environmental policy and sustainability approach? What can you say about your work regarding worker health and safety?

As Evakim, we fully fulfill our responsibilities regarding worker health and safety. In all areas where we operate, we pay great attention to respecting the environment and minimizing waste to avoid leaving an impact on the environment. We continue our training activities on this subject without interruption.

What criteria are prioritized when Evakim establishes investment plans? Does Evakim have investment plans for the coming periods? If so, what are they?

Since its establishment, Evakim has invested all its resources in people and technology. Last year we established our own automation and robotics team. In this way, we provide faster solutions to our customers' needs. We closely follow the technology used in our manufacturing processes. We continuously maintain safer and more efficient equipment procurement that respects the environment, under any circumstances.
