Talay Logistics Partners with Logistics Giant HELLMANN

Talay Logistics signed a cooperation agreement with Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, one of the world's largest logistics companies, for Europe-Turkey transportation operations. Under this cooperation, warehouse investments will be made at critical points in Europe and block train connections will be established.

Within the scope of the cooperation through which transportation between Turkey and Europe will be organized, two container terminals were first established in Osnabrück and Augsburg.

Talay Logistics Chief Executive Officer Onur Talay stated that the cooperation will be a pioneering step for Turkey's logistics sector and will further increase efficiency in transportation between Turkey and Europe. Talay noted that they will provide service diversification with new warehouses to be opened within Europe and new block train connections, and that they will make the best use of Hellmann WWL's 150 years of experience in this regard.

Emphasizing that the two container terminals in Germany will serve as critical hubs, Talay said they will thus be able to conduct faster and safer transportation across Europe.

"We contribute to environmental sustainability with 70,000 shipments"

Onur Talay drew attention to the fact that they conduct approximately 70,000 transportation operations annually via Ro-Ro, stating: "From Turkey, we first reach Trieste via Ro-Ro. Then we transfer to block trains heading to important trade and manufacturing centers such as Wels in Austria and Duisburg, Cologne and Munich in Germany. In this way, we provide an average saving of 2,000 tons of CO₂ emissions annually and contribute significantly to environmental sustainability."

"We will increase our transportation volume between Europe and Turkey"

Emphasizing that they currently have a strong structure in different countries in Europe, Talay drew attention to the fact that they own vehicles and equipment within the scope of their affiliated companies in these countries. Talay also noted the following:

"We will make the best use of Hellmann WWL's strength within the scope of our presence in Europe. We will increase our transportation volume between Europe and Turkey. With mutual benefit, we will contribute to Turkey's trade with Europe. We will further strengthen the capabilities of our companies in Bulgaria, Italy, Germany, Poland, France, Lithuania and Romania.

Over 150 years of experience, 12,000 employees

Hellmann WWL, which operates in 243 offices across 57 countries worldwide with over 12,200 employees, has over 150 years of experience in the sector. Hellmann reached 20 million shipments and revenue of EUR 3.5 billion last year.
