Polisan Holding Announces New Appointment

Polisan Holding has appointed Tolga Üzümcü, who held finance positions at international companies for 17 years, as Chief Financial Officer. Tolga Üzümcü will be responsible for finance management at Polisan, which operates in paints and coatings, chemicals, port operations and real estate sectors, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. Polisan Holding, which has achieved numerous firsts particularly in the chemicals, paints and coatings and port operations sectors in Turkey, has appointed experienced executive Tolga Üzümcü to the role of Chief Financial Officer. Tolga Üzümcü managed finance operations and investment projects at international companies operating in manufacturing, FMCG, aviation and services sectors. After working at Deloitte's Istanbul and Luxembourg offices, he served as Head of Finance at Borajet and as Chief Financial Officer and Board Member at TAV Havalimanları Holding. He managed finance operations across 23 countries for TAV İşletme Hizmetleri, TAV Havalimanları Holding's service company, and secured partnerships with over 40 banks worldwide. He led company establishment, tax planning and investment financing projects in numerous countries, primarily in the United States and Europe. Tolga Üzümcü holds expertise in financial analysis and reporting, strategic planning, financial modelling and risk management. In 2019, he led the acquisition of shares in Barcelona-based GIS Grup and partnership agreements established with Washington-based Capital One Bank. A member of IMA (Institute of Management Accountants), Tolga Üzümcü achieved first place in Turkey and 21st place worldwide in the ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) SBR (Strategic Business Reporting) examination held in December by the London-based organization.

Who is Tolga Üzümcü?

He graduated from Marmara University's Department of English Economics in 2004 and completed his Master's degree in Finance at Istanbul Bilgi University in 2017. Üzümcü began his professional career at Deloitte. After working at the Deloitte Istanbul office from 2004 to 2008, he was selected for Deloitte's Global Mobility Program and worked at the Deloitte Luxembourg office for approximately two years. He returned to the Deloitte Istanbul office in 2011 and worked there until 2014. He joined Borajet Airlines in 2014 and served as Head of Finance for three years. From 2017 to 2022, he worked as Chief Financial Officer at TAV İşletme Hizmetleri, part of TAV Havalimanları Holding. Appointed as Board Member in 2019, Üzümcü established and managed finance operations for 36 companies across 23 countries. He also took on Managing Director roles at TAV İşletme Hizmetleri's Zurich, Germany and Oman companies. Tolga Üzümcü, who holds SMMM, ACCA, CMA and CMB independent audit licences, took office as Chief Financial Officer at Polisan Holding as of 1 February 2022.
