Novo Nordisk Completes Major Acquisition

Novo Nordisk strengthens rare disease presence by acquiring Forma Therapeutics to transform lives of patients with sickle cell disease and other serious hematological conditions. Rebranding its "Biopharmaceutical Business Unit" to "Rare Disease Business Unit" in line with the company's strategic priorities, Novo Nordisk aims to eliminate diseases entirely by providing integrated solutions in rare disease treatment. Following this strategic transformation, Novo Nordisk continues to strengthen its position in this field by acquiring Forma Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on transforming the lives of patients living with rare blood diseases. Novo Nordisk Vice President and President of Rare Disease Ludovic Helfgott said:
