Ergun Hepvar Appointed CEO of Kordsa

A new CEO has been appointed at Kordsa, a Sabancı Holding affiliate. In a statement made by Kordsa to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), it was announced that Ergun Hepvar has been appointed as CEO of Kordsa. Ergun Hepvar, who has nearly 35 years of experience in business life and has held leadership roles at various global companies to date, will take up his new position as of 1 June 2025.
Sabancı Holding affiliate Kordsa has appointed a new CEO. In a disclosure to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), Kordsa announced that Ergun Hepvar has been appointed to the position of Kordsa CEO. With nearly 35 years of business experience and having held leadership roles in various global companies, Ergun Hepvar will assume his new position as of 1 June 2025.
In comments on the matter, Sabancı Holding Material Technologies Group and Kordsa Board Chairman Burak Orhun stated, "To shape today's global transformation, it is necessary to combine experience from different fields. In this context, Ergun Hepvar's global business experience and expertise in areas such as supply chain management, innovation, digital transformation, artificial intelligence and advanced data analytics will provide significant support to Kordsa's transformation into an advanced materials company. I wish him success in his new role."
About Ergun Hepvar
Ergun Hepvar graduated from Middle East Technical University's Department of Computer Engineering, and later completed his MBA program at University of California Berkeley - Haas School of Business. Between 1992-1997, he began his career at Unilever in Supply and Systems Management roles, and subsequently worked as a Managing Partner at C-Bridge Internet Solutions. Between 2002-2003, he served as Global Project Manager at Apple. Between 2003-2005, he worked as Information Technology Director at TNT Logistics (now known as CEVA).
Between 2005-2010, Ergun Hepvar served as CIO within Sabancı Holding, managing information technology strategies at the group level and implementing corporate digital transformation programs. Between 2010-2013, he served as Deputy General Manager responsible for Supply Chain and Logistics at Akçansa. Between 2013-2020, Ergun Hepvar served as CEO and Country Director of Olmuksan International Paper Turkey, and most recently worked as Director of Innovation, Data and Advanced Analytics at International Paper's U.S. headquarters. In this role, he implemented artificial intelligence and data strategies at the corporate level and contributed to operational excellence, responsible artificial intelligence and technology integration.
