Kaleseramik Achieves Corporate Governance Score of 9.22

Kaleseramik, Turkey's leading ceramics sector company, has achieved significant success with its corporate governance structure built on principles of transparency, accountability and sustainability.

In a rating conducted by Kobirate International Credit Rating and Corporate Governance Services Inc., authorized by the Capital Markets Board (CMB), Kaleseramik's Corporate Governance Compliance Rating was determined at 9.22 out of 10. As a result of a comprehensive evaluation based on 456 criteria, Kaleseramik's corporate governance practices were also certified by an independent organization operating at international scale.

Kaleseramik, a pioneer in Turkey's ceramics sector, achieved another significant success thanks to its high compliance with corporate governance practices in line with the "Corporate Governance Principles" published by the CMB. The evaluation conducted by Kobirate International Credit Rating and Corporate Governance Services Inc., authorized by the CMB, was carried out across a total of 456 criteria under the headings of shareholders, public disclosure and transparency, stakeholders and board of directors. With the score of 9.22 achieved as a result of the evaluation, Kaleseramik demonstrated its high level of compliance with corporate governance principles.

The report also noted that Kaleseramik scored 92.67 points in Public Disclosure and Transparency, 96.25 points in the Stakeholders section, 92.18 points in the Shareholders area and 90.25 points under the Board of Directors heading.

Included in Borsa Istanbul index of highly-rated companies
In the report prepared by Kobirate following thorough examinations, it was emphasized that Kaleseramik complied with the CMB Corporate Governance Announcement in many areas ranging from human resources policies to investor relations, from sustainability approach to ethical principles.
With the high score it received, Kaleseramik was included in the XKURY-BIST Corporate Governance Index by Borsa Istanbul-BIST, which comprises companies with a corporate governance compliance rating of 8 and above out of 10.
