GSK Appoints Turkish General Manager to Norway Operations

Turkish General Manager Appointed to GSK Norway GSK continues to strengthen its global senior management team with Turkish executives. Ömür Akalın Erin, currently serving as Global Marketing Leader for Classic Brands in Singapore, has been appointed as General Manager of GSK Norway effective 1 April 2023. Ömür Akalın Erin graduated from Istanbul Technical University Department of Chemical Engineering in 2002 and joined GSK Turkey team the same year as Basic Pharmaceutical Product Manager. Throughout his GSK career, Akalın Erin held positions including CNS and Urology Business Unit Manager, Classic Brands and Critical Care Business Unit Director, HIV Business Unit Director, Turkey Pharmaceutical Business Unit Director, and Emerging Markets Central Region Respiratory Franchise Marketing Leader. Most recently, he served as Global Marketing Leader for Classic Brands in Singapore, overseeing operations in more than 100 countries. As of April, Ömür Akalın Erin began working as General Manager of GSK Norway, and will also serve as a member of the European Region Markets Leadership Team in his new role.
