Key Appointment in Gilead Turkey Medical Directorate
Dr. Serhan Sevgi, an experienced industry name, has been appointed to the position of Turkey Medical Director at Gilead, a science company operating in more than 38 countries worldwide.
Gilead, a science company that has focused for 33 years globally on developing innovative treatments in the fields of HIV/AIDS, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, inflammation, oncology and systemic fungal infections, continues to expand and strengthen its management team with new and experienced transfers.
Dr. Serhan Sevgi was appointed to the position of Gilead Turkey Medical Director as of January 2022. Dr. Tahsin Gökçem Özçağlı, who had served as the company's Turkey Medical Director since 2015, joined the Eastern Europe Center team as Medical Director last year. With his new role, Sevgi will also take on responsibility as a member of the Gilead Turkey Leadership Team.
Dr. Who is Serhan Sevgi?
Serhan Sevgi, who took office as of January, is a graduate of Istanbul University School of Medicine. He started his career in 1995 as a physician at Ağrı Central Health Center. He later completed his specialty in the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Studies at Istanbul University. Between 2000 and 2019, he held various positions and responsibilities at Novartis. For the past two years, he has served as Oncology Medical Director at Novartis.
