Gensenta Appoints New Executive

Amgen Türkiye Appoints Selim Özyılmaz as Commercial Director of Gensenta In line with efforts to strengthen the senior management team at biotechnology company Amgen Türkiye, Selim Özyılmaz, Head of the Nephrology Business Unit, has been appointed as Commercial Director of Gensenta. Selim Özyılmaz, who served as Head of the Nephrology Business Unit at Amgen Türkiye, has been appointed Commercial Director of Gensenta. Özyılmaz completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Computer Engineering at Boğaziçi University and began his career in the financial sector during his graduate studies. Subsequently, at management consulting firm Peppers & Rogers Group, Özyılmaz provided board-level consulting support to numerous leading companies in Turkey and abroad. He entered the pharmaceutical sector with Novartis. At Novartis Türkiye, Selim Özyılmaz took on responsibilities in various areas including Strategy, Business Excellence, Business Development and Digital Marketing before assuming the position of Asia, Pacific, Middle East and Africa regional director, responsible for business development opportunities between the company's different business units. In 2017, Özyılmaz took the helm of the Sales and Marketing Excellence team at Amgen, one of the world's major biotechnology companies. Also serving as a board member, Selim Özyılmaz was appointed Head of the Nephrology Business Unit at Amgen Türkiye in February 2019, where business units were consolidated under single management to ensure commercial sustainability and strengthen competitiveness of the portfolio. As of November 2019, Özyılmaz took up his new position as Commercial Director of Gensenta, responsible for both the Turkish and external markets.
