Boehringer Ingelheim Renews Its Working Model

Boehringer Ingelheim has revamped its working model in the Sub-Saharan Africa region. Boehringer Ingelheim Turkey General Manager Evren Özlü has been appointed to the role of "Transformation Process Leader" for the new working model being implemented with its base in Kenya.   Boehringer Ingelheim, one of the world's top 20 pharmaceutical companies, has revamped its working model in the Sub-Saharan Africa region. According to the new working model, from 2020 onwards the company has decided to position Sales, Marketing, Market Access and Medical Affairs units at a newly established centre in Kenya. Boehringer Ingelheim Turkey General Manager Evren Özlü will lead the "Transformation Process Leader" role for the project. While continuing his duties as Turkey General Manager, a position he has held since 2016, Özlü will also be responsible for the new organization, ensuring continuity of the transformation process. The relocation of the Sub-Saharan Africa region to the new centre in Kenya is expected to be completed by 1 July 2020. "We aim to deliver sustainable healthcare to patients for generations" Regarding the new management strategy in the region, Boehringer Ingelheim Turkey General Manager Evren Özlü stated: "Sub-Saharan Africa is a region whose importance in terms of healthcare access is increasing day by day. For this reason, the META region management has decided to move all roles such as Medical Affairs and Market Access to the Kenya-based Sub-Saharan Africa region in order to respond to local healthcare needs and be closer to our stakeholders." Emphasizing the critical importance of this transformation for the region, Özlü said: "I am greatly honored to be appointed as 'Transformation Process Leader' for this project. As the META region, we aim to achieve long-term sustainable healthcare access through this change. For this reason, we will provide all the necessary infrastructure to ensure that this change in Kenya takes place within a focused and solid transformation process and that the transformation proceeds uninterrupted."
