Abdi İbrahim Brings Three Prominent Industry Figures on Board

Abdi İbrahim continues to strengthen its management team as it pursues strategic growth objectives. The company, which has taken pioneering steps with 22 years of uninterrupted leadership in the pharmaceutical sector, added three important figures from the industry to its ranks in the final month of 2024.

With these appointments, Demet Körezlioğlu was appointed to the position of Director of Endocrinology and Diabetes Division, Özgür Carlı to the position of Director of Primary Care I Division, and Cem Tozar to the position of Director of Primary Care II Division. The Primary Care I and II Divisions stand out as units that manage Abdi İbrahim's comprehensive product portfolio and assume strategic responsibilities in critical therapeutic areas.

The newly appointed senior executives will take on critical responsibilities to further advance Abdi İbrahim's strengthened global position—a company that has operated for 112 years with a mission to improve lives—to develop innovation-focused strategies, and to reinforce its leadership in the sector.

Demet Körezlioğlu
Demet Körezlioğlu, who was appointed to the position of Director of Marketing and Sales for Abdi İbrahim's Endocrinology and Diabetes Division, graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Pharmacy and subsequently completed a master's degree in Marketing and Marketing Communications Management at Galatasaray University.

With over 17 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and dermocosmetic sectors, Körezlioğlu assumed important responsibilities in strategic areas such as marketing management, digital marketing, team leadership and financial management throughout her career. Most recently, she served as Business Unit Manager at Ali Raif Pharmaceuticals. In her new role at Abdi İbrahim, Körezlioğlu will focus on further developing the company's leadership in the endocrinology and diabetes field through a strong product portfolio and innovative projects.

Özgür Carlı
Özgür Carlı, who has worked in various positions in the pharmaceutical sector for over 16 years, was appointed to the position of Director of Primary Care I Division at Abdi İbrahim. A graduate of Istanbul University Faculty of Pharmacy, Carlı completed his master's degree in Clinical Pharmacy at Marmara University and deepened his sector knowledge and strategic leadership skills through an Executive Development Programme at Koç University. Carlı began his career in the healthcare sector in 2004 and gained experience in diverse areas such as marketing and sales, pharmacy practice and hospital pharmacy.

Beginning in 2008 at Deva Holding as Product Manager, he assumed leadership roles in various areas including general therapeutics, gastroenterology, hospital products and tenders, OTC and pharmacy teams. During this period, he served as Senior Product Manager, Marketing Manager, Business Unit Leader and most recently as Marketing and Sales Director. In his new role, Özgür Carlı will continue to lead Abdi İbrahim's Primary Care I Division and contribute to the company's strategic objectives.

Cem Tozar
Cem Tozar, who was appointed to the position of Director of Primary Care II Division, graduated from Gazi University Department of Economics. Beginning his career in the healthcare sector in 2005 at Bilim Pharmaceuticals, Cem Tozar held positions as medical sales representative, product manager, marketing manager and business unit manager in diverse areas including diabetes, cardiology, pulmonology, paediatrics, dermatology, allergy and otolaryngology. Prior to his new role at Abdi İbrahim, Cem Tozar worked as Sales and Marketing Director at Bilim Pharmaceuticals and will now lead Abdi İbrahim's Primary Care II Division.
