Zorlu PSM's first week of the new year brings beloved productions including the Musical Urinetown, Amadeus, Crocodile Fire and Water Lilies back to audiences without pause throughout the season.
Meanwhile, "CrossOver Talks," one of the entertaining and dynamic programmes from Zorlu PSM's YouTube channel, will reunite with both physical and online audiences this week at Zorlu PSM.

Beloved stand-up comedian Çağla Alkan shares what she knows about singles, object fetishists and analog times with her audience. Çağla Alkan takes the stage with her solo show at touché on Tuesday, 3 January at 21.00. Directed by Kayhan Berkin, the musical is written by Greg Kotis and Mark Hollman. The production brings together names such as Settar Tanrıöğen and Füsun Demirel, and also features a live orchestra led by Murat Kodallı, Director of Istanbul State Opera and Ballet. In an era when the world is plagued by drought, access to toilets is controlled by a private company. Those without the means to pay are sent to Urinetown and never return. A spark of love ignites the beginning of a rebellion against this strange "system." The musical, produced by MON, continues to meet with art lovers through a fresh interpretation. Crocodile Fire, featuring Funda Eryiğit, Hazar Ergüçlü and Kubilay Tunçer in the lead roles, tells the turbulent story of two sisters living at opposite poles with their fathers. Directed by Mehmet Ergen, the play was among the best plays at the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe Theatre Festival. Northern Ireland, 1989... In a loveless home, the non-stop tempo, surreal and grotesque story of a rebellious girl Fianna (Hazar Ergüçlü) who has served eight years in prison with a disabled father, and her devout sister Alannah (Funda Eryiğit). "CrossOver Talks," one of YouTube's entertaining and dynamic programmes, continues to meet with both physical and online audiences at Zorlu PSM. Adding a new edition to its entertaining programmes, Zorlu PSM brings together Alican Yücesoy, Yeliz Kuvancı, Barış Kıralioğlu and Aybike Turan at the same table in "Crossover Talks," offering viewers an unforgettable experience with surprises and unpredictable conversations. The new episode of "Crossover Talks," which will feature four people looking at different topics from their own perspectives during entertaining conversations and will take place on Zorlu PSM stage and Zorlu PSM YouTube channel this season, will be held as two sessions at 19.00 and 21.00 on 6 January in Zorlu PSM Skylounge hall. The Queen Project, which Uraz Kıvaner specially prepared for the International Jaffa Jazz Festival held in Israel where he was invited to represent our country, comprises jazz arrangements of Queen's unforgettable works, including Bohemian Rhapsody. The Turkey premiere of this special project is set for 6 January at touché with Uraz Kıvaner's ensemble of six musicians. "Water Lilies" takes audiences on a journey by addressing the relationship between men and women, an unsolved mystery throughout human history, in its real, ironic and poetic dimensions. This production, where the poetry of passionate love and soul-stirring music come together, allows us to witness the relationship process of a married couple trapped in modern city life. It opens up discussion in an entertaining manner about humanity's conflict with itself and between men and women, resulting from the destruction of nature and animals' natural habitats. As spectators witness different phases of Duygu and Fikret's lives—who experience emotional swings between love and violence and try to destroy each other—they reconsider humanity's relationship with nature. "Amadeus," written by Peter Shaffer, tells the unique story of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Salieri, two unforgettable composers in world music history, and continues its performances in the new season. Directed by master director Işıl Kasapoğlu, the production brings together theatre lovers through a collaboration between Çolpan İlhan-Sadri Alışık Theatre and Piu Entertainment. The lead roles are shared by Selçuk Yöntem (Antonio Salieri), Tansu Biçer (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart) and Dilan Çiçek Deniz (Constanze Weber). Amadeus, which features a total cast of 55 people—35 on stage and 20 backstage—is one of the most talked-about productions of the season and sells out every show it runs. It has won awards in Marketing and Advertising due to its unique use of a playable typeface font, a world first. It is the first and only theatre production to receive six "Crystal Apples" and four "Felis" awards, and has also achieved international success by winning an award in the "Logo" category at the ADC 100th Annual Awards. At the 20th Inter-Director Audience Awards, our director Işıl Kasapoğlu received recognition for Best Director, Selçuk Yöntem for Continuous Excellence, and Çolpan İlhan & Sadri Alışık Theatre and Piu Entertainment for Best Production, across three categories. "Wear and Tear," which focuses on how contemporary world systems increasingly narrow the space of human existence, and conversely how modern humanity responds to this situation through acceptance—considering both the wear of the human element and character wear—invites audiences to an entertaining experience by creating an active viewing process in which viewers discover the play's language and mechanics together with the performers.
