Digital Future of the Construction Sector to Be Discussed at Yapı Fuarı 2019

Turkeybuild Istanbul, the Construction Fair being held at TÜYAP Exhibition and Congress Centre between 18-22 June, will feature discussions on new investment areas in the construction sector, architectural approaches and innovation in construction. The use of robot technology in the construction sector will be one of the important agenda items at the fair. Robot Turuncu will be one of the fair's most prominent guests. Turkeybuild Istanbul, the Construction Fair - Turkey's largest construction sector summit for 42 years - will be held at TÜYAP Exhibition and Congress Centre between 18-22 June. Hosting rich content business programs to support industry professionals and benefit the sector, the fair will bring together representatives from construction sectors in Turkey, the Balkans, North Africa, the Middle East, Russia and the CIS countries. This year's fair will be marked by future scenarios for the construction sector. The Construction Fair supports construction sector strategy, facilitates knowledge exchange, encourages innovation, and promotes the introduction of new ideas through interaction between the public sector, private sector and academic dimensions of the construction industry. The fair will feature numerous events bringing the Turkish construction sector together with diverse content. Over 30 events and more than 90 national and international expert speakers will be featured at Turkeybuild Istanbul 2019, with over 11,000 international visitors expected to attend this year.

Robot Turuncu in action

Under the slogan "Design and Produce, Manufacture with Robots!" at the Construction Robot Zone, robotic production with Robot Turuncu will be observed throughout the fair and participants will be able to join discussions on robot technologies in the construction sector. Robot Turuncu will construct its own space by stacking wooden and brick blocks. The host of Construction Robot Zone is Fabb.

Our home on Mars is being designed

The VR Home project, through which we will experience spaces of our dreams and living in our home on Mars, is being realized in collaboration with Garage Atlas. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the Construction VR Home with the Garage Atlas team, where VR+ studies on architectural and multidimensional experience design will be presented.

Five days of the fair will feature five different themed agenda meetings

The fair will provide a productive platform with forward-looking business development events and will host five themed agenda meetings over 5 days. Some of the events are as follows: Construction Arena will host architectural and business-focused panels, partnership sessions, discussions on innovative design and technologies, and guest speakers. Construction Arena will also dedicate its stage to live presentations and seminars on new products and technologies of 2019 through the innovation-focused Construction Innovation special section. At Construction Arena, visitors will become acquainted with next-generation tools and concepts such as "digital transformation" in design and production processes, Digital Twin with IoT, BIM and VR integration. The Construction Unplugged 02 Workshop, which provides young professionals, recent graduates and students with material knowledge and on-site experience, and also assigns social responsibility through architecture, creative thinking and design, will present the modules created during the fair on 22 June Saturday, the fair's final day. Under the Construction Masterclass, moderated architectural masterclasses tailored over 4 days will be organized, intersecting the interests and work areas of different visitor groups. Following the tour of stands, interviews will be held with master architects and their project stakeholders such as interior designers, mechanical engineers and civil engineers.

Construction sector's 2019-2020 agenda to be discussed at Presidents' Forum

In this section, an "Agenda Meeting" is planned with presidents of sector associations and public representatives. The meeting, which is expected to become traditional through the platform provided by Turkeybuild Istanbul each year, aims to evaluate the sector's year from material, construction, economic and planning perspectives, discuss future projections, deliver messages from the fair's opening day, and bring under scrutiny subject headings in focus by local authorities and government policies.
