Artificial Intelligence Specialist Training Program
An Artificial Intelligence Specialist Training Program has been launched under the 1 Million Employment Project, an education and employment initiative dedicated to information technologies and continuing under the auspices of the Treasury and Finance Ministry.
According to a statement from the Ahmet Çalık Foundation, a cooperation protocol signing ceremony was held between the Treasury and Finance Ministry, Turkey's Information Technology Association and the Ahmet Çalık Foundation, hosted by the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Knowledge Commercialization Center.
The Artificial Intelligence Specialist Training Program, which will be implemented under the sponsorship of the Ahmet Çalık Foundation and coordinated by Turkey's Information Technology Association, will be held at Istanbul Commerce University.
Noting that the project has become an example globally through its innovative model and benefits it creates, which offer equal opportunities in education and employment, Taşkın stated: 'Now we are launching an artificial intelligence specialist training program that addresses today's and tomorrow's needs. I thank the Ahmet Çalık Foundation for its support. With the support of Treasury and Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati, we have completed important and substantial work on the project and we continue to undertake new initiatives that will increase employment and production in the technology sector.'
Mahmut Can Çalık, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ahmet Çalık Foundation, emphasized that the foundation's most important objective is to contribute to Turkey's position among the leading countries in the ongoing digital transformation race globally. He said: 'In this direction, we will contribute to the development of the "Certified Artificial Intelligence Specialist Training Competency Program" to support our Treasury and Finance Ministry's "1 Million Employment Project." We will continue to provide support to develop our country in the fields of science and technology.'
- 140 Young People to Benefit from Program
Rahmi Aktepe, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turkey's Information Technology Association, stated that 140 young people will be accepted for the training to take place at Istanbul Commerce University under the program, saying: 'Once the applied training is completed, our young people will be directed directly to employment. As an association, we will always make the necessary effort to scale this program and to initiate and sustain such programs.' Dr. İsrafil Kuralay, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Istanbul Commerce University, noted that the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and Istanbul Commerce University have given special importance to the technology field and made investments in this area, bringing many new initiatives to Turkey. He stated: 'The Knowledge Commercialization Center we are in today is a pioneering and award-winning project of our chamber for the development of initiatives in its field. We will continue to support the university's work by ensuring the continuation of this program launched today.' Prof. Dr. Ömer Torlak, Rector Deputy of Istanbul Commerce University, noted that the artificial intelligence departments opened within the university are the first in their field, and expressed that these training programs are important for young people to develop themselves for employment. Torlak noted that the university will participate with quality content and qualified academics in the program. More than 1 million 590 thousand people have participated in the project to date and begun to receive training.
