Export Figures from Mediterranean Industrialists

Mediterranean Chemical Exporters Report Export Figures Saadettin Çağan, Chairman of the Board of the Mediterranean Chemical Substances and Products Exporters Association (AKMİB), announced that the association achieved USD 319.8 million in exports in April. In a written statement, Çağan noted that AKMİB achieved its highest export values in April in mineral fuels and mineral oils, plastics and plastic products, and inorganic chemicals. Pointing out that Italy received the largest share of exports during the period, Çağan stated: "Our association's exports reached USD 319.8 million in April. During this period, we achieved USD 189 million in mineral fuels and mineral oils, USD 49.1 million in plastics and plastic products, and USD 37.4 million in inorganic chemicals. The largest export, USD 69.3 million, was to Italy." Çağan noted that thanks to reductions in natural gas and electricity costs for industrial use, exporting companies have strengthened their position in global markets. Source
