Foundation Laying Ceremony at Yalova Makine OSB At the Yalova Makine Organized Industrial Zone (OSB), which will host 320 factories upon completion, the foundations of a second production facility were laid in a ceremony as part of Phase 1 works.
Yalova Makine OSB Board Chairman Direnç Özdemir:
"When our Phase 1 area is completed, we will create employment for approximately 5,000 people, but when the entire zone is developed and facilities are completed, we will have generated employment for approximately 25,000 people"
At Yalova Makine OSB in the Çiftlikköy district of Yalova, where the first production facility's foundation was laid in recent weeks, a foundation laying ceremony was held for Delfin İç ve Dış Ticaret Pazarlama A.Ş's factory. Speaking at the ceremony, Yalova Makine OSB Board Chairman Direnç Özdemir stated that 320 production facilities will become operational in the zone within 8 years, with 42 factories' foundations to be laid in the first phase. Özdemir, noting that 18 social amenity areas will also be constructed as part of Phase 1, said: "This is our second company foundation-laying. We have scheduled to lay foundations approximately every 10-15 days this year, continuing the facility development process. When our Phase 1 area is completed, we will create employment for approximately 5,000 people, but when the entire zone is developed and facilities are completed, we will have generated employment for approximately 25,000 people."

A Model for the World

Reminding that they serve the automotive, defence and machinery sectors as a hub for high-value-added production, Özdemir said: "I believe we are a structure perfectly suited to green Yalova, which has abundant forest land but limited areas available for investment. We are working to establish a domestic, innovative, and green OSB. All our work aims to reinforce this foundation. The facility whose foundation we laid today, as you will notice in the architectural visuals, is constructed in accordance with our architectural concept that we call Anadolu 5.0. In this sense, we are building structures that are compatible with the city's fabric both visually and with Anatolian culture, with roots in this land. On the other hand, it is a building that meets TSE green building criteria. We will become a facility complex harmonious with the city's fabric. It will be a model for the world in both technical and aesthetic terms. We aim to be a hub for high-value-added and technology-intensive production in terms of scale," he said.

Target: USD 4 Billion in Exports

Explaining that they aim to reach 100 percent occupancy in 320 medium and large-scale facilities across 640 hectares within 7-8 years, Özdemir stated: "In the result report of the inventory work we conducted with our members, we see that we will reach an export volume of approximately USD 4 billion. We are projecting this at nearly 90 percent occupancy," he said. Özdemir added that the facility whose foundation was laid has all orders filled for the coming year.
Turkey's Highest-Value Investment
Mete Özarar, Board Chairman of Delfin İç ve Dış Ticaret Pazarlama A.Ş whose foundation was laid, described how they have served Turkish industry for over 60 years. Stating that they are excited to continue their new production and service journey in the Yalova Makine Specialized OSB as Kaldırma Makinaları and Delfin Vinç Servisi, Özarar continued as follows: "Our facility, established with an investment budget of TRY 60 million, is the highest-budget investment to date in Turkey's crane service sector. Our company, which currently exports to more than 20 countries, will use this investment to increase market share in Africa, Europe, Russia and Turkic republics, thereby contributing to the national economy through foreign currency generation. Like everyone here, we are also working with all our might to realize our country's goal of being among the world's 10 largest economies. I am confident we will succeed together." Following the speeches, protocol members jointly pressed the button laying the facility's foundation. The ceremony was attended by Governor Muammer Erol, Yalova University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahçekapılı, Provincial General Assembly Chairman Hasan Soygüzel, department heads, and YTSO Chairman Tahsin Becan.
