"Woman in Trade" Project Fosters Women's Solidarity in Foreign Trade
Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan said work is being conducted to enable active participation of Turkish women entrepreneurs in exports.
Pekcan: "In this context, we will bring together Turkish women entrepreneurs with Spanish women entrepreneurs. Through the 'Woman in Trade' project, we will plan how they can conduct joint trade." she said. Pekcan noted that the potential between the two countries has not been sufficiently utilized, and said they need regular commercial and economic contacts that could bring businesspeople together with Spain. Drawing attention to the fact that Spain's government has 10 women and 7 men ministers,Pekcan: "Women ministers are responsible for production, finance and trade matters such as finance, trade, industry and economy.
To strengthen our cooperation with Spain, we want our businesswomen to take part in this process. We will bring together our women entrepreneurs with Spanish women entrepreneurs. Through the 'Woman in Trade' project, we will plan how they can conduct joint trade. The Women and Young Entrepreneurs Export Department on our side and the Spanish side will carry out the project. We agreed to meet with Maroto in the autumn. We plan to sign a JETCO agreement with Spain." he expressed his views. Source: MilliyetAdvertisement
