WIN EURASIA 2019 Brings Manufacturing Sector Together Under Theme of Digital Transformation in Industry

Between 14-17 March, the 26th International "WIN EURASIA" Fair was held at the TÜYAP Fair and Congress Centre in Istanbul, organized by Hannover Fairs Turkey, the Türkiye office of Deutsche Messe, under the slogan "Be Part of the Future". The fair brought together Turkish industry with the world's leading industrial nations. WIN EURASIA brought together nearly 1,400 participants from 20 countries with 77,403 visitors from 122 countries. At the fair, which attracted significant interest from foreign investors, purchasing delegations from over 30 countries were organized, and exporting companies signed new cooperation agreements worth millions of euros. Organized by Hannover Fairs Turkey with the support of the Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Industry and Technology and KOSGEB, the fair featured many innovations in its 26th year.

From sheet metal processing to metal forming technologies; from automation services to energy, electrical and electronic equipment; from hydraulic and pneumatic services to in-facility logistics – the entire ecosystem required for factories of the future came together under the "WIN EURASIA" roof with the concept of digitalization in industry.

Speaking at the opening of the 26th International "WIN EURASIA" Fair, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır said that the Ministry of Industry and Technology is continuing its work under the heading of national technology initiative. Hannover Fairs Turkey General Director Alexander Kühnel, noting that "WIN EURASIA" 2019 concluded with historic success for Turkish industry, stated that the fair would carry Turkish economy to its 2020 export targets. "WIN EURASIA", which has become the common meeting point for international companies in Türkiye, hosted delegation groups of over 30 sector professionals within the framework of the 'Foreign Purchasing Delegation Programs'. Major buyer groups from France, Italy, Spain, Belarus, Morocco, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria and Lebanon, among others, met with over 1,000 Turkish exporters and signed new agreements. The fair was organized in cooperation with leading institutions and organizations such as MİB, MAİB, MAKFED, İSDER, ENOSAD, AKDER, ETMD, ROBODER, VDMA and ZVEI, and many companies from across the country participated actively. As a result of cooperation with Chambers of Industry and Commerce, Professional Chambers and Federation institutions, Anatolian delegation groups departing by 120 buses from 41 provinces across Türkiye visited the fair and had the opportunity to meet with potential buyers.

Digitalization in Industry Was the Focus of "WIN EURASIA" Fair!

The fair, where international companies exhibited robots, automation technology, IT solutions, software and network platforms, brought together all components of 360-degree manufacturing industry in Istanbul. Fair visitors had the opportunity to closely experience technological developments such as automation, digitalization, Internet of Things and augmented reality. In cooperation with TİM and ENOSAD, forums and conferences were also organized concurrently with the fair, with the aim and mission of advancing Turkish industry further, effectively utilizing its technology, and contributing to the creation of high value-added products. Many expert speakers including Industrial Automation Industrialists Association President Dr. Hüseyin Halıcı, Machine Manufacturers Association President Ahmet Özkaynak, Siemens Türkiye Digitalization and Industry 4.0 Marketing Manager Derya İren and Sabancı University Finance Department Chair Prof. Dr. Özgür Demirtaş shed light on the future of Turkish industry through their presentations. Projects that ranked in the "WINOVATION" competition, organized for the first time this year within WIN EURASIA in cooperation with ENOSAD, were awarded prizes. Brands that produced original projects focused on technical innovation under subject headings such as product, service, design, technology, technical infrastructure, solution, business model, organization and social environment received their awards in a ceremony organized within the framework of the fair. Within the scope of the competition, Doruk Automation and Software Inc. with its Artificial Intelligence-based Predictive Management project won 1st place, while Okyanus Technology with its Construction Site Monitoring and Security Solution project won 2nd place. Third place awards were given to two separate projects. Movement Control Service Center with its HKSM IOT service project and Dedem Electrical Engineering Automation company with its Innovative QR Code Writing project were deemed worthy of 3rd place awards. The next WIN EURASIA Fair will be held on 12-15 March 2020.
