Üsküdar Üniversitesi to map Turkey's coronavirus anxiety with nationwide online survey

Üsküdar Üniversitesi's Epidemiological Research Working Group, led by Associate Professor Gökben Hızlı Sayar and Assistant Professor Hüseyin Ünübol, will conduct a study to assess anxiety levels, emotions and stress-inducing situations related to the COVID-19 pandemic caused by coronavirus. The study, titled Turkey's Coronavirus Anxiety Map, will be a comprehensive nationwide survey on COVID-19 psychology.

The study, which does not require disclosure of personal identification or collection of personal information, aims to recruit 20,000 participants from different regions of Turkey. The survey comprises 70 questions and is designed to be completed in approximately 15 minutes. Data collected will be analysed by cluster, and results will be shared with the public through an online press conference. Findings and recommendations for improvement will also be shared separately with relevant authorities.

Associate Professor Gökben Hızlı Sayar and Assistant Professor Hüseyin Ünübol, coordinating the Turkey's Coronavirus Anxiety Map Research, emphasised that answering all questions is crucial for the study to achieve its objectives and that participants must respond based entirely on their personal views. The information obtained in this anonymous study will be used solely for research purposes.
