"Umudum Eğitim Burs Programı" Applications Open
Applications for the "Umudum Eğitim Burs Programı" (Umudum Education Scholarship Program), run by the Foundation for Children with Cancer (KAÇUV) to support children and young people currently undergoing cancer treatment or who have previously overcome childhood cancer in continuing their education without interruption, open on Monday, 1 September. Last year, 300 students received scholarships under the program, which aims to help every child stay hopefully connected to their school, future and dreams even during treatment. Applications will remain open until 30 September.
The Foundation for Hope for Children with Cancer (KAÇUV) is launching applications for its "My Hope Education Scholarship Program," designed to support children and young people undergoing cancer treatment and those who have overcome childhood cancer in the past to continue their education without interruption. Applications for the program, which provided scholarships to 300 students last year and aims to enable every child to remain connected to school, their future and their dreams even during treatment, will open on Monday, 1 September and close on 30 September.
The Foundation for Hope for Children with Cancer (KAÇUV), established to provide financial and psychosocial support to children diagnosed with cancer and their families, also supports children and young people's education, offering hope for their future aspirations. The 2025–2026 period applications for the My Hope Education Scholarship Program, which KAÇUV has been running since 2019 to ensure that children undergoing and completing cancer treatment do not interrupt their education, will open on Monday, 1 September. Applications will be accepted between 1–30 September, and the program enables children to pursue their education more comfortably during their treatment period.
In addition to financial support provided to students over a 10-month period covering September to June, the My Hope Education Scholarship Program accompanies students' social and cultural development through online training, activities and personal development opportunities at all educational levels, enabling every child to remain connected to school and their dreams even during treatment. University students enrolled in the My Hope Education Scholarship Program are also offered internship and mentoring opportunities.
300 children receive scholarships each year
Students aged 0–18 who have been diagnosed with cancer, are undergoing treatment, or have overcome and completed treatment for childhood cancer in the past are eligible to apply for this scholarship program. Under this program, which accepts applications from pre-school, primary school, middle school, high school and university students, during the 2024–2025 academic year, 5 pre-school, 70 primary school, 46 middle school, 55 high school and 124 university students from 52 different cities received scholarship support. Beginning with 13 university students in the 2019–2020 academic year, the My Hope Education Scholarship Program provides scholarships to an average of 300 children each year, ensuring that children and young people's education is not left incomplete.
