ASAŞ Becomes Türkiye's Top R&D Spender in the Aluminum Sector
ASAŞ, which holds the sector's first accredited R&D center approved by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, ranked first in the aluminum sector on the "R&D 500" list of Turkey's companies with the highest R&D expenditure, with spending exceeding TRY 188 million.

Turkishtime, an economics and business portal, announced the results of its 12th annual Turkey's 500 Companies with Highest R&D Spending Survey. ASAŞ, a leading industrial establishment in Turkey, made it to the "R&D 500" list in first place in the aluminum sector with R&D spending exceeding TRY 188 million. Through its R&D center, accredited by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology and established in 2015 as the sector's first approved facility, ASAŞ contributes to the development of value-added products as well as processes and products needed by qualified sectors such as automotive and rail systems it serves.
According to the results of Turkishtime's 'R&D 250 Survey,' ASAŞ ranks 79th among the top 500 companies with the highest R&D spending, and ranks 10th among the top 100 based on the number of projects conducted at R&D centers in 2024 with 122 projects. The company also ranks 12th in the Top 50 by number of design registrations obtained at R&D centers in 2024 with 27 registrations.
Derya Hatiboğlu, General Director of ASAŞ, noting that R&D and innovation projects make an important contribution to the development of Turkey's technology ecosystem, states: "Currently in Turkey, a solid ecosystem based on university-industry cooperation continues to form for the transformation of academic knowledge into technology.
