Üçay Mühendislik Signs Mega Contract Worth TRY 1.34 Billion

Üçay Mühendislik, an HVAC and energy-sector company, has signed a major partnership agreement under the İstanbul Sancaktepe Şehir Hastanesi Construction Project. The company has executed two separate contracts with REC Uluslararası İnşaat Yatırım Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. covering mechanical and electrical contracting work totaling more than TRY 1.34 billion.

Under the signed contracts, Üçay Mühendislik will undertake TRY 801.9 million for mechanical contracting work and TRY 545.5 million for electrical contracting work. The company is targeted to complete the work by 1 April 2028.

Engineering strength in strategic project
Turan Şakacı, Chairman and CEO of Üçay Mühendislik, noted that İstanbul Sancaktepe Şehir Hastanesi is one of Turkey's strategically important projects in terms of healthcare infrastructure, adding that the company will bring its years of engineering expertise in mechanical and electrical contracting to this project.

Şakacı emphasized that the collaboration with REC Uluslararası İnşuat Yatırım Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. further strengthens the company's position as a trusted solutions partner in large-scale, high-standard projects.

Noting that this project, undertaken following the successful completion of the IPO process in the recent term, represents an important step in the company's sustainable growth strategy, Şakacı said they aim to complete the project according to the planned schedule without compromising on quality, occupational safety and sustainability principles.

Strengthening portfolio
The new contracts totaling TRY 1.34 billion will strengthen Üçay Mühendislik's portfolio in large-scale mechanical and electrical contracting projects while expanding the company's references in the healthcare investments sector.

The mechanical and electrical contracting work for İstanbul Sancaktepe Şehir Hastanesi is planned to be completed by 1 April 2028.
