Turkey's Engineer Girls Project Enters New Phase

New application period launched for "Turkey's Engineer Girls" project run in partnership between Limak Foundation and Ministry of Family and Social Services. To ensure women have equal opportunities in the engineering field and increase the employment of qualified female engineers, the new application period for the "Turkey's Engineer Girls" project, run in partnership between Limak Foundation and the Ministry of Family and Social Services, has begun. According to a statement from Limak Foundation, the Turkey's Engineer Girls project has been successfully running for 7 years with the aim of supporting women's employment in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields where female representation is limited. Taking into account the URAP 2022-2023 World Subject Rankings research, Limak Foundation invites all female engineering students pursuing or about to pursue undergraduate education in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years of computer, environmental, electrical-electronics, civil, industrial, chemical and mechanical engineering departments at engineering faculties from Turkey that are listed in the rankings to become one of "Turkey's Engineer Girls." The project offers students opportunities including scholarship support, certificate programs that will contribute to their personal and professional development during their engineering education, online English language training, mentoring support, internships and employment opportunities. Expanding beyond national borders on a globalization journey, Limak Foundation continues to gain recognition through the "Global Engineer Girls" initiative it has launched in Kuwait, North Macedonia and Kosovo, working to establish an "international sisterhood bond."
