"Responsible industry, clean environment" is the mission of PAGEV (Turkish Plastics Industry Research Development and Education Foundation), which adds value to the Turkish plastics sector and continues its sustainability efforts through "Operation Clean Sweep." PAGEV implemented the Operation Clean Sweep protocol in partnership with the Plastics Industry Association and the American Chemistry Council, signing it during the 11th Turkish Plastics Industry Congress and bringing Turkey into the project. Launched with the slogan "No small thing," the project aims to collect plastic raw materials spilled during production or transport, thereby preventing them from entering the seas. PAGEV, which undertakes the representation of this globally-implemented project in Turkey, awarded its certificate to Sapro Temizlik Ürünleri San. ve Tic. A.Ş., the first Turkish company to join the Operation Clean Sweep movement. Standing out for its support of sustainable projects in its work on plastics sector development, PAGEV continues to be the voice of the sector in international organizations. PAGEV, having signed the Operation Clean Sweep (OCS) protocol implemented in partnership with the Plastics Industry Association (SPI) and the American Chemistry Council (ACC), is conducting intensive work to raise awareness among Turkish companies on the subject and involve them in the movement.

PAGEV Represents the Global Project in Turkey

Operation Clean Sweep, a voluntary management program for facilities using plastic materials, aims with the slogan "No small thing" to prevent plastic raw materials spilled during production or transport from entering the seas. Plastic products are manufactured by melting plastic raw materials in the form of small granules and shaping them. During production or transport, these particles can spill onto floors and enter the seas through sewage systems. The Operation Clean Sweep (OCS) movement provides awareness, education and inspection services to prevent small plastic raw material particles—which also have economic value—from posing a danger to marine life. With its work over a quarter-century in the plastics industry toward zero particle, small fragment and dust loss, OCS is represented in Turkey by PAGEV.
