Turkish Ytong Turns 62

Türk Ytong, which introduced Turkey to autoclaved aerated concrete in 1963, celebrated its 62nd anniversary. Türk Ytong, which has been in continuous production since 1965, today operates 5 factories, employs 577 people and ranks as the world's largest producer of Ytong products among manufacturing countries with an annual capacity of 2 million cubic meters.

The 62nd anniversary celebrations were held simultaneously at the management headquarters in Istanbul and at the Antalya, Çatalca, Bilecik, Trakya and Dilovası factories. At the ceremonies attended by company partners, executives and employees, seniority bonuses were also awarded.

We will continue to produce and advance
At the ceremony held at the Istanbul management headquarters, Nakkaş Holding Board Chairman Ramazan Öztürk stated that they will continue to produce, work and advance for Turkey. Emphasizing Türk Ytong's contribution to the country's economy through production, industrial and marketing activities, he shared that they support every effort that creates added value and will continue working tirelessly on the path they believe in as a large family.

For 62 years, we have been the architects of modern, safe and quality structures
Türk Ytong Board Vice Chairman Fethi Hinginar noted that Ytong has become a symbol of quality and safety in the construction sector, saying: "Our pioneering role in the sector, the value in the eyes of our customers and all institutions in the sector, and the trust placed in us carries great responsibilities. In the coming years as Türk Ytong, we must continue our work with the same determination and belief, always renewing ourselves, keeping pace with developments quickly, and continuously increasing the quality and variety of our products."

With 45 million m³ of production, we have made a major contribution to Turkey's energy savings
Türk Ytong General Manager Agah Durukal emphasized in his remarks at the ceremony that the company has been a brand guiding Turkish architecture and building culture for 62 years: "Ytong, with its history spanning over a century, is the inventor of autoclaved aerated concrete and the world's leading brand in the sector. Since 1963 in Turkey, we have pioneered modern construction by providing superior quality products. If we have become a symbol of safety, modernity and quality today, every colleague's effort contributed to this success. With our extensive production and distribution network, innovative products and technical expertise, we set an example in the sector. With our products featuring properties such as lightness, durability, fire resistance and high thermal insulation, we provide solutions in the areas of energy savings, earthquake safety and fire resistance. At our five factories in different regions of Turkey, we produce with an annual capacity of 2 million cubic meters. With 45 million cubic meters of Ytong material produced since 1965, we have contributed to the thermal insulation of approximately 4 million residential units. In doing so, we have achieved energy savings exceeding 11 billion dollars for our country. This is a great source of pride for all of us."
