Turkish Porcelain to Reach the Heart of Central Asia

Kar Porselen, the umbrella brand of Bonna, Türkiye's export champion, is making its latest investment in Uzbekistan, one of Central Asia's largest domestic markets.

Kar Porselen, the roof brand of Turkey's export champion Bonna, is making its new investment in Uzbekistan, one of Central Asia's largest domestic markets.

Kar Porselen will invest more than USD 25 million in its new factory located on a 56-decare site in the industrial zone of Tashkent. With this investment, the brand aims to meet the tableware porcelain needs of Central Asia, Russia and neighbouring countries, introducing quality Turkish porcelain to Central Asia.

Kar Porselen, the roof brand of Bonna, Turkey's first 100% HoReCa brand, chose Uzbekistan for its new investment. The brand has acquired a factory on a 56-decare site in Tashkent with 29,000 square meters of enclosed space, aiming to meet the tableware porcelain needs of Central Asia, Russia and neighbouring countries.

Kar Porselen will invest more than USD 25 million in the Uzbekistan factory, thereby opening doors to neighbouring markets in the region. The porcelain brand, which will provide employment for over 300 people in Uzbekistan—one of Central Asia's largest domestic markets with a population of approximately 36 million—will supply approximately 1.5 million units per month to the sector when the factory reaches full production capacity.

We will become an important player in the Central Asian market
Bonna General Manager Erbil Aşkan, stating that with this new investment they aim to meet the tableware porcelain needs of Central Asia, Russia and neighbouring countries and become an important player in the region, said: "With a population of approximately 36 million, Uzbekistan is one of Central Asia's largest domestic markets and is located in the heart of Central Asia, positioning it quite strategically.

It is an important hub for opening doors to neighbouring markets due to both production capabilities and logistical advantages that facilitate access to other countries in the region. By investing in Uzbekistan, which has adopted an investor-friendly approach especially through recent economic reforms, we will reach our quality, aesthetic and exceptional products to many more countries and become an important player in the Central Asian market," he said.
