LG Unveils World's First Bendable 5K2K Gaming Monitor

LG Electronics (LG) reinforces its leadership in premium OLED gaming monitors with the LG UltraGear™ GX9 series unveiled at CES 2025.

The new series includes the 45GX990A, which won three CES 2025 Innovation Awards including 'Best Innovation', and an all-in-one smart gaming monitor powered by LG webOS. These awards underscore LG's commitment to delivering advanced, high-quality gaming solutions. With the GX9 series, LG continues to demonstrate its leadership in the latest technology and gaming monitor innovation.

To deliver maximum gaming experience, all UltraGear GX9 series models feature curved screen panels using LG's advanced WOLED technology. These screens offer high brightness, true blacks, striking colors and optimized curvature. This combination brings games to life and immerses users in the thrilling action of their favorite games. The GX9 series carries a low blue light emission certification, reducing eye strain during extended gaming sessions for a more comfortable experience. Additionally, LG's Anti-Glare and Low Reflection (AGLR) coating minimizes screen reflections and glare, making it easier for gamers to see everything on screen even in brightly lit rooms.

The 45GX990A and 45GX950A are 45-inch, 21:9 gaming monitors with an ultra-high 5K2K resolution (5,120 x 2,160), a first for OLED monitors.1 The 21:9 aspect ratios deliver a more immersive gaming experience compared to standard 16:9 screens while providing better content compatibility than 32:9 monitors. Both products feature LG's second-generation Dual-Mode capability and offer customizable aspect ratios (21:9 or 16:9) and display sizes (39-, 34- or 27-inch) by switching with a single touch between pre-set screen resolution and refresh rate combinations. With eight configurations, users can personalize their gaming setups to their preferences or adapt to different game types including FPS, RPG, MOBA and racing simulators.

With its curved (800R), 21:9 format 5K2K resolution self-emissive 45-inch panel, this screen delivers sharp, realistic images with the striking colors and exceptional contrast LG OLED products are known for.

Its nearly borderless four-sided design and slim bezels add a sleek aesthetic to any setup while helping increase the sense of immersion for users.
