Turkish Energy Company Generates Electricity Across Four Continents

Karpowership generates electricity across 4 continents and 14 countries while pursuing new investment opportunities. The company, which transports energy across the globe with 36 floating power plants with a total installed capacity exceeding 6,000 megawatts, generates electricity at 14 locations from Africa to Asia. Karpowership, which meets the electricity needs of many countries including Brazil, New Caledonia, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Mozambique, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Guinea-Bissau and Senegal at rates between 10 and 100 percent, operates with 2,600 employees. Karpowership Africa Operations Director Ali Hjaiej stated that they continue to generate electricity at different points in the world and that they provide advanced energy technology and sustainable solutions for countries and companies. Hjaiej explained that the company generates electricity in many different and highly regulated countries from New Caledonia, France's overseas territory, to Brazil, and is one of the largest electricity producers in the West African region. Noting the urgent electricity needs particularly on the African continent, Hjaiej said, "Faced with the reality and scale of demand, there is no time to waste in considering possible solutions, developing projects, procuring necessary equipment, and completing the financing and construction of projects. With our ready-to-produce powership solution where we complete all processes in-house, we have the capacity to begin production in a short timeframe."

'We will continue our foreign investments'

Karpowership Africa Operations Director Hjaiej stated that they do not limit themselves to providing countries with uninterrupted, reliable, clean and economical energy, saying, "Thanks to our pragmatic and flexible solutions, we are able to operate in 4 continents of the world while providing social and economic benefits. We will continue these forms of support we provide to operating countries and our foreign investments."

Hjaiej continued as follows:

"Today's greatest need is flexible solutions. As Karpowership, we have a very flexible structure in all aspects of commissioning, contract duration and fuel used. We can bring 20-25 year projects online in as little as 2-3 weeks. For example, we commissioned a 200-megawatt power plant in Côte d'Ivoire within 20 days. All motors used feature dual-fuel technology. We can use natural gas, LNG or liquid fuel according to customer preference. We play a major role in helping countries obtain rapid solutions that are simultaneously efficient and sustainable."

'We are one of West Africa's largest producers'

Ali Hjaiej stated that they own 36 floating power plants serving different geographies in the world and that they have 12 floating power plants in Africa. Reiterating the importance of meeting Africa's electricity needs with rapid and flexible solutions, Hjaiej said, "As Karpowership, we are proud to provide this solution and to be one of the largest electricity producers in the West African region today. We continue to supply anywhere from 10 to 100 percent of the total electricity needs of many countries such as Ghana, Gambia, Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau and Sierra Leone.
