Tüpraş Offers Summer Internship Opportunities to Young Talent

Within the scope of Tüpraş's "Nextremers" program for university students, young participants are gaining remote work experience by taking part in training and projects online during the pandemic period. Additionally, with the internship program to be implemented in August, university students will be able to complete their summer internships online and remotely. Tüpraş, which integrates digital technologies into business processes, continues to conduct projects involving university students online within its talent management framework during the pandemic. Tüpraş's young talent program "Nextremers Project Student Program," which provides university students with real working environment experience, continues to support student development through online training and content during the pandemic period. Within the scope of the "Nextremers" program implemented at Tüpraş General Directorate and the Izmit, Izmir and Kırıkkale Refineries, students have been gaining remote work experience while continuing to receive online training and provide support to their departments. Additionally, they have completed innovative idea generation training received during the pandemic period. "Nextremers" project students will continue their development through design-thinking training. In this way, through the projects they will produce, they will also contribute to the design of the experience that the new "Nextremers" joining the program in the coming period will have. More than 4,500 third and fourth-year university students wishing to take their first career steps at Tüpraş and become part of the "Nextremers" program applied for the project between 23 February and 15 March. Students who advanced to the final stage, whose skills and competencies were evaluated through digital tools during the pandemic, continue to participate in one-on-one interviews conducted in the digital environment. The evaluation process will be completed and the new "Nextremers" will be determined by the end of July.

Online Summer Internship Program begins in August

In addition to the "Nextremers" program, university students who will begin their summer internship at Tüpraş in August and September will have the opportunity to complete this period online and remotely. As a result of evaluations made among approximately 5,600 applications, 300 university students will experience an online summer internship at Tüpraş. Students will begin their internships with orientation training and will have the opportunity to get to know Tüpraş more closely through group mentoring support they will receive. Interns will develop project ideas specific to Tüpraş regarding the Sustainable Development Goals during their learning process. Students who will receive supportive training while developing their projects will present their ideas to committees composed of Tüpraş mentors and managers. Following this work, students will have the chance to become direct candidates for the Nextremers Young Talent Program to be launched in the 2021 period. Another application through which we are with young people is our internship programs.
