Tüpraş receives another EU Horizon 2020 grant for its "Cozmos" project

  COZMOS, an R&D project in which Tüpraş is among the partners, has been awarded support under the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, achieving the highest score among project applications focused on 'Utilization of Captured Carbon Dioxide'. In Horizon 2020, Europe's most comprehensive Research and Innovation Programme, where Tüpraş previously participated with 7 projects, the company has now been recognized for additional support through the R&D project "COZMOS" of which it is a partner. Tüpraş's "COZMOS" project (Efficient CO₂ conversion over multisite Zeolite-Metal nanocatalysts to fuels and OlefinS) achieved the highest score with 14.5 out of 15 points among applications for projects on "Utilization of Captured Carbon Dioxide". The COZMOS project, implemented through a partnership of 11 organizations from nine countries with a total budget of EUR 4 million, has secured 100% EU funding for Tüpraş's EUR 776,000 project component. COZMOS stands out for its environmental dimension. The project aims to develop innovative technologies to efficiently convert carbon dioxide from industrial processes into fuel. By participating in this multinational project, Tüpraş will undertake significant work in developing cutting-edge technologies. Performance testing of the project will be carried out by Tüpraş researchers at a pilot facility to be established at Tüpraş's R&D center. At the same time, Tüpraş will have the opportunity to test the technology firsthand.
