The Social Responsibility School for Gender Equality Kicks Off

Amgen Turkey is launching a School of Social Responsibility under the coordination of Dr. Aylin Löle, in partnership with Boğaziçi University Lifelong Learning Center (BÜYEM), with the aim of empowering women and promoting gender equality. This year's theme for the School of Social Responsibility will be "Gender Equality." Amgen, which has implemented numerous projects to increase the number of women leaders in science and promote gender equality, is launching the "School of Social Responsibility" program on Saturday, 22 May, in partnership with Boğaziçi University Lifelong Learning Center (BÜYEM) and under the coordination of Dr. Aylin Löle. Within the framework of the "School of Social Responsibility" training, which will include representatives from academia, business and civil society who have made an impact in their respective fields, participants will be offered a perspective on how to develop sustainable and effective solutions to address problems stemming from gender inequality. The program will also be open to those wishing to gain experience in the field from marketing communications to corporate communications, everyone with career objectives in civil society organizations, university students and recent graduates who wish to raise awareness on gender equality. The program will begin with an opening speech by Dr. Tamer Atabarut, Director of Boğaziçi University Lifelong Learning Center (BÜYEM). The program will feature Güldem Berkman, General Manager of Amgen Turkey and Gensenta, Dr. Sevgi Kesim Güven, Instructor at Boğaziçi University, Lerzan Erkan, Human Resources Management Systems Designer at BÜYEM, Tuğba Çamlı Cantürk, Senior Director of Corporate Relations at Amgen Turkey and Gensenta, Bahar Özen, Director of Human Resources at Amgen Middle East and Africa, Filiz Kozcağız, Director of Human Resources at Amgen Turkey and Gensenta, Başak Güçlü Elbir, Founder of the Employee Volunteering Platform, Emre Keskin, Founder of the Imagination Center, Melisa Dağlı, Seed Team Coordinator at the Imagination Center, Didem Demircan, Coordinator at the Women's Labor Appreciation Foundation, and Aylin Olsun, Chair of the Board at PWN Istanbul.

Güldem Berkman, General Manager of Amgen Turkey and Gensenta, stated that at Amgen, with the understanding that every role and every member of Amgen is very important and valuable, they provide an environment to talented and determined people from diverse backgrounds that encourages individual responsibility and values diversity. With this year's School of Social Responsibility, whose theme is 'Gender Equality,' we aim to draw attention once again to the importance of gender equality, raise awareness on this issue, and contribute to the education of more people," he said.
