TİM Preparing a Turkey Logo
Turkey's Exporters Assembly (TİM) has begun work on introducing a Turkey logo to replace the 'Turkey Discover the Potential' branding currently used for promoting the country. TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle called on exporters to use the 'Made in Turkey' label on exported products.
Gülle stated, "Turkey is the geographic indicator for export products subject to global trade from our country. Therefore, if something is manufactured in Turkey, it should be called 'Made in Turkey'. We would be very pleased if Turkey's patriotic exporters respond positively to the support that the umbrella organization of exports is giving to this new vision.
This State and this Nation deserve to rise by the name of great Turkey," he said.
Turkey's Exporters Assembly (TİM) has moved forward with using a new logo and label to increase recognition of the Turkey brand in target markets and meet changing communication demands today. Working under the Turkey Promotion Group TTG operating at TİM, work on the Turkey logo was initiated with support from the Ministry of Commerce. As part of this process, while a draft law is being prepared, new slogan work has been launched to change the "Discover the Potential" slogans used in foreign promotion and communication activities and "Discover Your Strength and Potential" used domestically. A decision was made not to use the current slogans until the new slogan work is completed. Gülle made the following remarks on the matter: "The world's leading traders have used the name Turkey for the country, which is the homeland of Turks, for centuries. While actors in global trade refer to Turkish territories by this name, on the international stage, promoting 'Made in Turkey' in the name of Turkish goods to the entire world is a meaningful and necessary step. The geography of Turks engaged in production and exports at global scale is Turkey. Turkey is the geographic indicator for export products subject to our country's global trade. Therefore, if something is manufactured in Turkey, it should be called 'Made in Turkey'. Our President has pointed to this fundamental, straightforward fact. We, as the frontline personnel of Turkey's trade diplomacy, have accepted our President's words as an instruction at TİM and have rapidly begun work on a new logo." TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle called on exporters to use the 'Made in Turkey' label on exported products. Gülle stated, "We would be very pleased if Turkey's patriotic exporters respond positively to the support that the umbrella organization of exports is giving to this new vision. In other words, changing the labels of Turkish goods exported throughout the world to 'Made in Turkey' in line with this new vision would make us very, very satisfied. This State and this Nation deserve to rise by the name of great Turkey. We see mediating this vision as a duty. Turkey will rise through exports," he said.Advertisement
