World Cleaning Day Sees Meaningful Participation in Cleaning Solidarity
World Cleanup Day, organized globally by Let's Do It! Foundation and coordinated in Turkey by Sivil Yaşam Derneği, is a cleanup movement in which millions of volunteers of all ages simultaneously clean the world across 150 countries.
World Cleanup Day has been held annually in Turkey since 2016 during the month of September. This year, MG International Fragrance Company participated with a volunteer team of over 30 people.
MG International Fragrance Company, previously recognized for its environmentally friendly identity and having earned the "Kocaeli Sanayi Odası Şahabettin Bilgisu Environment Award," Turkey's first environmental awards organization, supported the cleanup of Heybeliada throughout the day as part of the project.
Through the project aimed at creating awareness about environmental pollution by cleaning up waste discarded in nature, the organization demonstrated its approach and commitment once again in partnership with Siyamder and JCI Türkiye.
Operating with awareness of environmentally responsible production activities, MG International Fragrance Company has earned the status of R&D center through projects carried out in previous years.
The facility, an award winner in environmental and sectoral performance, has made robot technology investments aimed at reducing the environmental impact of chemical production and minimizing waste consumption, seeking to prevent process-based chemical waste generation.
