Teknopark Istanbul Ranks First in Turkey for Number of Patent-Holding Companies
Teknopark Istanbul has become Turkey's leading technology park in hosting the most patent-holding start-up companies.
Teknopark Istanbul, like in 2020, also ranked first in Turkey in 2021 for the number of patent-holding start-up companies. In 2021, Teknopark Istanbul increased its start-up company count to 68. Bilal Topçu, General Director of Teknopark Istanbul, underscored the importance given to intellectual and industrial property rights, stating: "Through our Teknodestek program, we provide grant support to our companies in the area of intellectual and industrial property rights, and we continue our work by expanding our support scope each year."
Turkey's Leading Technology Park in Hosting Patent-Holding Enterprises
According to the list in the 2021 Patent Performance Report published by Patent Effect; of the 898 patent-holding start-up establishments founded in Turkey, 697 enterprises, or 77 percent, were established in technology parks. Based on these data; Teknopark Istanbul, by hosting 68 patent-holding start-up enterprises, secured the top position. Teknopark Istanbul had also received the title of Turkey's technology park hosting the most patent-holding enterprises in 2020 with 52 patent-holding start-up companies."We Believe in Our Entrepreneurs' Potential and Will Continue to Support Them"

Although our technology park is newly established compared to other technology parks, it has achieved the top position two years in a row in a very short time.
