Signing Ceremony Held for Chemical Technology Center

Chemistry Technology Center Inauguration Ceremony Held The inauguration ceremony of the Chemistry Technology Center, established with the İKMİB initiative, took place. The Chemistry Technology Center is being established through an initiative by the Istanbul Exporters Association of Chemical Products (İKMİB) and with the support of the Istanbul Development Agency (İSTKA). The center's inauguration ceremony was held in Bilişim Vadisi.

Leading Industry Companies Attended the Inauguration Ceremony The inauguration ceremony was attended by İKMİB Chairman of the Board Adil Pelister, Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, Bilişim Vadisi General Manager Serdar İbrahimcioğlu, leading companies in the chemical sector, and association heads. During the ceremony, promotional videos of the Chemistry Technology Center and İKMİB were shown. At the inauguration ceremony, Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, İKMİB Chairman of the Board Adil Pelister, and Bilişim Vadisi General Manager Serdar İbrahimcioğlu delivered opening remarks.

Goal: Elevate the Chemical Sector to the Highest Level

In his remarks, İKMİB Chairman of the Board Adil Pelister stated that the objective of this center is to elevate the chemical sector to the highest level. Pelister noted that the chemical sector supplies raw materials to many other sectors; he expressed that they believe growth in the chemical sector will accelerate growth in other sectors as well. Pelister also conveyed in his remarks that this center will contribute to many areas such as implementing new discoveries in chemistry, supporting start-ups, and conducting research and development work.

Testing and Analysis Services to be Provided at Lower Cost Minister Mustafa Varank stated that Bilişim Vadisi hosts many technological production and development initiatives. Varank said that the center was established following a comprehensive needs analysis and that it will address a major requirement by accelerating the testing and analysis processes needed by the sector. Varank noted that testing and analysis work, which has mostly been carried out abroad, will now be conducted domestically and nationally at the Chemistry Technology Center, and emphasized that this will enable companies to achieve cost savings. Varank also noted that the center encompasses many areas and stated that it will provide momentum to the chemical sector.
