SKDM Training to Be Held in December 2025
The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) Training, prepared in cooperation with the Türkiye Kimya Sanayicileri Derneği (TKSD) and Rever Akademi, will be held in person on 22–23 December 2025 at the TKSD Office in Istanbul.
Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) Training, prepared in collaboration with Turkey Chemical Manufacturers Association (TKSD) and Rever Academy, will be held in-person at TKSD Office in Istanbul on 22–23 December 2025.
CBAM, implemented by the European Union in line with its carbon-neutral objectives, continues to hold critical importance for all industrial sectors, particularly export-oriented companies. The training program organized for this purpose aims to enable participants to understand their obligations under CBAM, master the embedded emissions calculation procedures, and correctly apply the European Commission's reporting requirements.
The training will be delivered by Volkan Çağın, an expert in the field, and will be supported by comprehensive practical exercises alongside theoretical instruction.

CBAM objectives, scope and basic definitions
CBAM products (Hydrogen) and production methods
Determination of product and input material characteristics
Inputs with embedded emissions
Facility boundaries, production processes and embedded emissions definitions
Rules for embedded emissions calculation
Practical Exercise #1: Calculation of direct embedded emissions
Day 2 – 23 December 2025
Practical Exercise #2: Calculation of indirect embedded emissions
Introduction to European Commission CBAM communication template
Practical Exercise #3: Completing the communication template using a sample facility
Monitoring, reporting and control mechanism
Q&A and closing session
